By The Vault: TMNT Sketch Painting by Kevin Eastman
Time to open up the AP Vault once again for a quick look at a rare item from my personal collection. What you see below is a hand drawn & signed TMNT “painting” by the creator of the turtles Kevin Eastman. He personally sketched everything on this large16X20 inch canvas (nothing is printed). All 4 turtles, TMNT logo, Shredder, & Splinter as as well as his signature in the center. This piece is limited edition to only 4 ever created. Super rare and one of my favorite items directly from the person who gave us this amazing franchise!
Kevin Brooks Eastman is an American comic book artist and writer best known for co-creating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Peter Laird in 1984 which has grown to the global phenomenon it is today. The initial comic books were written and illustrated by Eastman & Laird, making this hand painted piece a very exceptional work of art.
Growing up and still being such a huge fan of TMNT, I never could have imagined owning such a piece hand done by the legend & creator of one of my favorite franchises of all time. I am lucky to have several cool pieces of artwork but this is definitely towards the top of the list. Did you enjoy this post? Great!
