Unboxing: Iron Studios Spiderman Art Scale Deluxe: Night Monkey & Mysterio Statues
AP back with yet another Spidey unboxing – this time I am taking a look at two premium statues from Iron Studios, both from the film Spiderman Far From Home. The statues are of none other than the Night Monkey & Mysterio with each highly detailed piece standing at nearly a foot tall in 1/10 scale size. Both of these are limited edition pieces that are very well made out of polystone with a decent weight as well.
Both of the boxes have a nice large graphic showing the figure inside and are made from thick cardboard, let’s start with the Night Monkey.
Inside of the box we have a thick Styrofoam case protecting the statue and its accessories.
This statue has a few pieces that need to be put together using the attachments and built in magnets. Laid out here is what we have which includes the base, character, and a piece of webbing.
Once we put him all together he comes to life straight from the movie with great details. The suit has all the elements you would expect from the film down to the belts, pockets, and each and every strap/buckle. Very well done.
The details and setup are fantastic, really give this piece a premium feel. Solid build, great paint job – an awesome addition to any Spidey collection.
Next we move onto one of my favorite villain’s, Mysterio. I was particularly excited for this one as the preview images really made this statue stand out with it’s green smoke and light up feature. The box for this statue is also made from thick cardboard with the Styrofoam casing enclosed inside.
Compared to the Night Monkey this one has several items inside that need to be put together to create the statue.
Each piece is wrapped very carefully inside of soft padding to avoid any damage.
That green immediately pops with a bright blast of color as soon as you take it out of the box. The inside contents include two piece of green “illusion” that create the base, the character, 2 hand sets, the light up head dome, as well as a set of batteries. We also get the villain’s cape which is pretty well detailed and made out of a thick rubber it seems rather than a cheap plastic. Nice touch.
Once all the pieces are put together this statue really comes alive with the green smoke blasting below in a beautiful stand/base. There is a pair of plain hands as well as this set that has him with his weapons drawn, ready to create illusions on the fly.
Really nice details on this one and the addition of the light up “dome” is a great touch. The suit has good depth and all the details you would expect from the film. Paint job is very clean & vibrant as well.
As mentioned before the base adds a lot to this piece and has a great pop of color.
Once we pair both together we can relive the classic scenes from the film. Great pair of statues from Iron Studios – highly recommended.
