Unboxing: Kotobukiya Marvel Avengers Series: Thanos Artfx+ Statue

You could say today’s unboxing was inevitable as I take a look at the Kotobukiya Marvel Avengers series Thanos Artfx+ statue. Let’s get to it.

A Kotobukiya Japanese import, the supervillain Thanos at 1/10 scale stands a massive 11 inches tall, looming behind the Avengers assembled in front of him in the original concept art. Thanos brandishes his Infinity gauntlet with the five Infinity stones in an ominous pose, threatening all who dare to stand in his way.

The box art is wonderful showing the statue in all its glory on both the front and backside. It is a rather large package with the 11 inch figure inside. Portrayed in a bold blue and gold costume inspired by the classic Comics and the statue’s dynamic sculpting and paint job exude a powerful energy that is sure to reign supreme over his foes. I love the classic Thanos look with the deep blues and gold colors.

The statue comes in several pieces inside the box, ready to snap together for instant display.

The packaging includes the large base, leg set, upper body, head, and of course the infinity gauntlet.

As long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those, that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist..

Let’s get these pieces together and bring the supervillain to life! Once assembled the statue looks beautiful. He is posed in a very menacing fashion exerting his dominance over the universe with the gauntlet held high in the air.

Couple more details from Kotobukiya:

Based on Designs by Adi Granov

The spotlight returns to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes with a new series of Avengers characters based on designs by Marvel superstar artist Adi Granov.

11 Inches Tall

Even at 1/10 scale, the Titan stands a massive 11 inches tall, brandishing his Infinity Gauntlet with the five Stones in an ominous pose, threatening all who dare to stand in his way.

Dynamic Sculpting and Paint Job

Portrayed in a bold blue and gold costume inspired by the classic comics, this easy-to-assemble snap-fit piece looks great straight out of the box with dynamic sculpting and a detailed paint job.

Overall this is one beautiful statue of the Titanian Eternal. The build quality and paint job are very solid and the statue itself does not feel cheap at all with a decent weight to it coming in at nearly 2.6 pounds. Great value for the price if you are looking to add something a little higher grade to your Marvel collection.
